Anyone wishing to measure forces in multiple directions no longer needs a setup comprising individual sensors. The new TPBB-40 measures Fx, Fy and Fz using a single transducer.
The sensor operates on the tried-and-tested principle of the parallel bending beam. Each axis has its own full-bridge strain gauge circuit with an input and output resistance of 350 Ω. This allows all three directions to be evaluated separately. The TPBB-40 outputs the bridge signal directly or, with an external measurement amplifier, as a current signal.
The flat design integrates well into test set-ups. The force is applied via a central measuring plate, whilst locating pins ensure reproducible alignment. The sensor is manufactured from stainless steel; for lower force ranges, it is also available in aluminium.
We design the measurement range, dimensions and connection to meet your requirements. Typical applications include test benches, joining and assembly technology, friction force measurement, robotics, specialised machine construction, and research and development.
We recommend the VKS-0180 measurement system for data acquisition: it records all three axes exactly simultaneously, at up to 1 MHz.
